Instructions for Kolding Cake
To prepare the Kolding Cake recipe, please follow these instructions:
Whip the eggs and sugar easily and foaming. Stir the softened butter together with apple sauce, cinnamon, raisins and coarse walnuts. Mix flour with baking soda and salt. Put it in and stir the dough together. Pour the dough into a greased sandcake form (1.5 liters). Bake on the bottom groove in the preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 1 hour. Let the cake stand for one hour in the mold before turning it out onto the grate and cool. Chopped hazelnuts or almonds can be used instead of walnut kernels.
