Menemen

Breakfast & brunch
Cook time: 0 min.
Servings: 2 pcs

Ingredients for Menemen

Pepper
Salt
1 Onion (can be omitted if you want it to taste great both with or without onions)
1-3 Eggs
3-4 tbsp Sunflower oil (as needed or you think there is enough oil)
3-5 Medium-sized red tomatoes, however, you can also use 1 can of diced canned tomatoes too if you don't buy the "good" red tomatoes
4-500 g Turkish "sivri" pepper (sometimes it's strong and sometimes mild but you can't count on it and it are generally available with Turkish green grocers)

Instructions for Menemen

To prepare the Menemen recipe, please follow these instructions:

First, you'll get it all and make it clear, the peppers are chopped for approx. 2 cm sizes and cut them all over as it gets fried better.

Then chop loosened and chopped well.

Tomatoes must be cut or finished, if desired.

You start by getting the pan ready with some oil, start setting the heat to max and when it is reached to max. Then turn it back to for example. 4 or 5 (if 6 is the maximum turn knob for the oven) then turn the pepper for approx. 6 minutes (however, it may take longer if you use a large forehead or forehead with large sides, as such a pan will not get so hot)

After about 6 minutes came the bulbs and switch them too, but it has to be switched just enough, it must start to become transparent, but not brown!
Then you can get the tomatoes in and mix it all together (you have to mix the pan straight from the start so all the ingredients are swung equally) when the tomatoes start to "dissolve" / soft, you can beat the eggs on it. I usually get a lid on the forehead so the eggs can be cooked quickly, so the egg in the bottom does not get too much heat and gets burnt. Well, just before you touch it all for the last time, you just have to get a little Salt and pepper can be placed on the eggs before serving.
It should then be eaten with some coarse bread and tastes best if you eat it by hand, ie. Take a piece of bread and take a piece of food with a bread (just the same as with chips and dip) It can be eaten with all sorts of white bread, just not toast bread and rye bread.

However, there is another kind of menu that is only made with strong chili peppers and tomatoes, so you can put on a rye bread and get some 3.5% yogurt upstairs and eat it as an appetizer, it tastes good with rye bread.

tips:
Can be eaten 24 hours a day, however, I choose the breakfast category, since it is mostly made for breakfast, old menemen leftovers from the day before the fridge tastes extra GOOD, cold.
