Instructions for Sopaipillas

To prepare the Sopaipillas recipe, please follow these instructions:

Season the flour, measure, and sieve once with salt, baking soda and sugar. Crumble baking soda and add milk to a soft dough that is just solid enough to roll. Cover the container and allow to rise for 30 to 60 minutes.

Roll out to 0.6cm thick on a scratched plate and cut diamond shaped pieces.

Heat 2.5cm deep oil in the frying pan to about 188-198 degrees. Put a few pieces at a time and flip them immediately so they inflate evenly, turn over to brown both sides.
