Instructions for Popcorn balls
To prepare the Popcorn balls recipe, please follow these instructions:
All upoppede whole grain varieties from popkornene. Put popkornene in a large greased roasting pan and set them in a warm oven while you make the syrup.
Butter in a thick-bottomed 2 litre pot. Add sugar, water, syrup, vinegar and salt. Warm up while stirring and mass medium heat until mixture boils. Stir around constantly to dissolve sugar.
Insert a thermometer into the dish, turn down the heat and let the syrup simmer with the burner. Stir around in between, until the thermometer shows 124 degrees C (it takes about ½ hour). If you don't have a thermometer, you can get a few drops of the syrup in very cold water a little moment. Form the mass into a small ball. If the mass is firm enough it will keep its shape for a moment before it runs out.
Take the Pan from the heat, remove the thermometer and stir in vanilla sugar in the syrup, Pour over popkornene. and stir well, then all bets will be covered.
Let popkornene cool so much that they just can be handled without burning yourself. Butter your hands with butter and form the mass into balls about the size of a small Apple. Wrap the balls into the cling film and tie ribbon around.
