Ingredients for Licorice Caramels
125 | g | Glucose |
2 | tsp | Licorice powder |
250 | g | Sugar |
5 | dl | Whipping cream 38% |
Instructions for Licorice Caramels
To prepare the Licorice Caramels recipe, please follow these instructions:
Boil all ingredients (except lacrid powder) until the caramel is very golden and very viscous. Stir in it at regular intervals, but most at the end. The caramel is cooked when it is well golden brown and begins to release the bottom of the bed after approx. 20-35 minutes at even, good heat.
Remove the pot from the heat, add the licorice powder and stir well.
Pour the caramel into a container, approx. 18x 18 cm lined with oiled baking paper on both bottom and sides. Also put oiled baking paper on top.
Let the caramel cool at room temperature preferably until the next day - alternatively five hours.
Cut into 7x7, a total of 49 pieces, and turn in lacrid powder.
