Ingredients for Honey bread II
½ | tsp | Ground cloves |
1 | Eggs | |
1 | tbsp | Almonds, coarsely chopped |
1 | tsp | Bicarbonate of soda |
1 | tsp | Ground ginger |
1 | tsp | Ground cinnamon |
1½ | dl | Honey |
1½ | dl | Buttermilk |
2 | tbsp | Grated orange zest |
300 | g | Flour |
50 | g | Butter |
75 | g | Brown sugar |
Instructions for Honey bread II
To prepare the Honey bread II recipe, please follow these instructions:
Melt honey, dough and butter in a saucepan and mix well together. Turn off the flare and add eggs, orange peel and almonds.
Sift soda and all spices together with flour and stir in the honey mixture alternately with buttermilk. Fill the dough in a greased, molded form and behind 170 degrees for approx. 1 hour in second row. Muffle if necessary. Heat to 150 degrees after half back time if surface becomes too dark. Gently turn the honey bread out to cool on a baker.
A real bacon for a cup of coffee or tea, cut into thin slices and greased with cold butter.
