1 | tsp | Bicarbonate of soda |
175 | g | Margarine |
180 | g | Wheat flour |
2 | Eggs | |
2 | tsp | Vanilla sugar |
3.5 | dl | Water |
300 | g | Dates dried stenfri |
85 | g | Sugar |
Instructions for Date cake
To prepare the Date cake recipe, please follow these instructions:
Put water and dates in a saucepan. Let the mixture boil at low heat and stir every now and then, so dates will be to mush.
Add sugar and fat. Take the Pan from the heat and whisk the paste is cooled by.
Add the eggs one at a time.
Mix the rest of the dry ingredients together and add to the dough. Pour batter into a greased and bread crumbs sprinkled baking pan approx. 23x33 cm.
Bake the cake in the oven barely 1 hour at 170 degrees c. alm. oven. Cake is baked when it loosens itself from the finished edge.
