Boil a brine of vinegar, water, sugar and spices. Put the berries in a bowl and pour over them with the boiling brine. Take the berries up with a slotted spoon and put them into scalded glass. Boil brine through in 5 min., pour it over the berries and close the glass immediately. Serve with cold or hot meat dishes.
