Instructions for Pigs in blankets
To prepare the Pigs in blankets recipe, please follow these instructions:
The yeast is stirred in the warm liquid (about 30 degrees)
The other ingredients (not the sausages) and 2/3 of the flour are added.
The dough is well kneaded and additional flour is added, until the dough's consistency is appropriate. (The dough must stick a little to the hands and the table).
After kneading, the dough rests for approx. 15 minutes.
The dough is shaped like 2 french bread. Rests 15 minutes.
The dough pieces are rolled out to squares approx. 15 x 60 cm. These are cut into triangles, approx. 12 pcs. every.
The sausages are divided into 3 and put a piece of sausage on the wide side of the triangle, rolled together around the sausage. The sausage horns adhere to the covered deck in a tight place approx. 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the sausage horns with egg and sprinkle if necessary. With birch or sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius alm. Oven approx. 15 minutes on the middle groove.
