Boil asparagus in plenty of salted water. Bring them up with cloves, chill them in a bowl of cold water. Pour the water off and put the asparagus on some kitchen roll. Cook the pasta in the same water as instructed on the package. Stir the yams together with orange juice, peel and spices. Turn the asparagus into the pasta and pour the sauce over.
