250gWheat flour
3Egg yolk
3Egg white
5tbspWhole milk

Instructions for Old fashioned rhubarb cake

To prepare the Old fashioned rhubarb cake recipe, please follow these instructions:

Dough: soft butter, sugar, and salt stirred together vanillie and Add egg yolks. Flour and baking powder sifted together and place in the mass, alternating with the milk.

Rhubarb meringue: wash the Rhubarb and cut into small pieces (a) 2-3 cm. Then added those to dry on a tea towel.

White whipped stiff and gradually add sugar. Reversed with nuts and rhubarb.

Dough in greased, floured springform and rhubarb marengsen distributed on top.

Bake at approx. 175 degrees c. alm. oven for 55 minutes (during heating). Keep an eye out for that marengsen not darkens. May be covered with tinfoil for a 10-15 minutes so marengsen do not burn.

Serving: Served whole with whipped cream or sour cream 18%.

Tips:
Pitted cherries can also be used instead of rhubarb.
