Ingredients for Hommus

EVS. Salt
EVS. tahin (sesame paste)
Fresh or dried/ground chili
Pepper rings and-or radish
Juice of 1 lemon
Chinese soy sauce or Tamari
½dlOil (cold pressed)
1smallOnion
1bundleParsley
2cloveGarlic
3dlChickpeas

Instructions for Hommus

To prepare the Hommus recipe, please follow these instructions:

The day before or at least 12 hours before rinsing the peas thoroughly and put to soak in 1 liter of water in the refrigerator.

The effluent is poured away. The peas are boiled in fresh water approx. 1 hour, cool easily, puréres / chopped in a blender or kitchen machine.

Purée is stirred with oil and lemon juice. The loop is cut into small terns. The whistle is finely chopped. Peaches chopped. Mix the ingredients with the puree and season with Tamari and spices. If the puree is too fast add a little water. Hummus should have a spreadable consistency so that a thick layer of hummus can be put on a slice of bread.

Suggestions: Hummus can be served in a bowl, decorated with peppers and / or radishes. For this, coarse bread is served.


Hummus is a healthy and nutritious product, and is excellent in a pitabolle. Hummus can keep in a refrigerator approx. 3 days.
