Instructions for Herring on ice
To prepare the Herring on ice recipe, please follow these instructions:
The herring is cleaned, diluted and cut into fillets, after which they are marinated for 24 hours. You can fill a sand cake form with water that is frozen approx. 12 hours. The mold is dipped for one second in boiling water. The ice block is turned on a napkin on a dish. You can also place ice cubes on the napkin. The silk fillets are laid over the ice. At the edge, bowls of raw, chopped onion, pickled, chopped beetroot, raw apple and celery flavors (dripped with lemon juice so that they do not darken), chopped parsley, capers and butter. For baked potatoes, baked potatoes or small boiled potatoes are served.
