3 | tbsp | Lime juice |
4 | Banana without Peel and sliced lengthwise | |
400 | g | Drained, short grain rice washed and soaked overnight in cold water |
50 | g | Brown sugar |
50 | g | Butter |
50 | g | Sugar |
Instructions for Sticky rice with bananas
To prepare the Sticky rice with bananas recipe, please follow these instructions:
Make a steam basket in bamboo ready with a muslin or cheese pie in, add the rice (a steam cooker in metal or a slice can also use). Place the steam basin on a saucepan with boiling water, put on the boil and cook for 40-45 minutes until the rice is tender. Lift the rice with a fork and put them over to the pan. Stir cream and sugar in the rice and cook at very low heat with frequent stirring for 15-20 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Take the saucepan off, set it aside, but keep it warm.
Caramelised bananas:
Melt the butter in a pan by medium heat. Add bananas and saute them golden while they are frequently reversed for 3-4 minutes. Add brown dolphin and stir on until the dough is melted and a syrupy consistency is formed. Sprinkle lemon juice over the bananas and serve them immediately with the rice.
