Instructions for Salza Pizzaiola (Pizza-Sauce)
To prepare the Salza Pizzaiola (Pizza-Sauce) recipe, please follow these instructions:
Heat the olive oil in a pan and cook the finely chopped onions until tender in 10 minutes until tender and translucent, but not roasted. Add garlic and spin forward a few minutes. Add the rest (minus the salt and pepper) and take a spin far uncovered, with occasional stirring for 1 hour. Remove bay leaf and rub the sauce through a sieve or give it a ride in the blender. Season with salt and pepper. Instead of fresh tomatoes can be used an equivalent amount of canned. It is rare to get ripe tomatoes unless you grow them yourself.
