Instructions for Potato Cake I
To prepare the Potato Cake I recipe, please follow these instructions:
The sugar and egg yolks are whipped well, the cracked lemon peel and the cracked boiled potatoes are added. The whole is thoroughly stirred together. The melted butter, the finely chopped almonds (not to be sliced) and the grater are added, and it is all reassembled. Finally, turn the pinch whites carefully. The dough comes in a greased form and baked for approx. 1 hour at 175. Served cold.
The cake is even better if it is baked like a pie made of butterdej. The dough is divided into two pieces, one used to clothe the bottom, and the other is used as a lid - possibly. Beautifully decorated. The cake is more "spongy" and the almond flavor is emphasized significantly. The last approach is highly recommended.
