To prepare the Krakka-herring recipe, please follow these instructions:

The herring is diluted in water or whole milk for approx. 12 hours from evening to morning. Rinse each herring for a moment under the tap and dry them lightly in a dish. There must be no inside back. Crack the herrings over fire from the bonfire or grill and eat them warm with plenty of rye bread and mustard. Beers and snaps are drunk.
