Instructions for Creamed rod
To prepare the Creamed rod recipe, please follow these instructions:
Remonce: Butter and sugar is stirred together into a uniform mass.
Dissolve the yeast in the eggs, and then the flour and the other ingredients kneaded in a uniform dough, which raises to double in size in a warm place, covered.
The dough is divided into two equal parts, and shaped into balls which rest a few minutes, after which each ball rolled out in ca. 20 cm. wide and ca. 30 cm. length. Along the center of the dough placed filling, which lubricated well out. The dough sides folded toward the Center a little over each other, and the rods are placed on a greased plate and after raising to double in size in a warm place, covered.
Spread with egg white and sprinkled first with almonds and then with sugar, so will be the tonsils hanging. Bake in oven at 250 degrees C in the Middle slot is approx. 15 minutes. The oven must have the right temperature from the start.
