To prepare the Christmas cake recipe, please follow these instructions:

Bake at 150 degrees c. alm. oven for 3 ½-4 hours, until the cake is firm. Pricked in the middle with a stick, which is to come clean out again. If the surface of the "pie" becomes too Brown before finishing the baking time, covered with foil.
Allow to cool in the form. Invert the cake onto a platter and paper covers. The pricked all over with a thin stick and smear with a spoon with the remaining brandy.
The cake be wrapped in a double layer of greaseproof paper and then in foil. Keep cool and dry so it can stay for up to 12 months.
Before serving garnish the cake with glazed fruit slices.
