Ingredients for Apple and fig chutney
0.5 | tsp | Cayenne pepper |
1400 | g | Onion minced |
1400 | g | Cooking apples freed for cored and chopped |
4 | tsp | Ground ginger |
40 | g | Dried figs, chopped |
450 | g | Cane sugar |
6 | dl | White wine vinegar |
Instructions for Apple and fig chutney
To prepare the Apple and fig chutney recipe, please follow these instructions:
Pour all ingredients except the cane sugar in a large saucepan and bring them in suitable Cook over medium heat.
Turn down the heat and simmer without lid, for the apples are tender.
Stir in the sugar, still at low heat. When the sugar is dissolved, the mixture simmer gently without a lid for about 1 ½ hours. Stir regularly in the Pan so it does not burn on.
