To prepare the Steged herring in vinegar recipe, please follow these instructions:
Wipe the silt fillets, give them a slice over the back and turn them in rye flour mixed with salt and pepper. Melt the grease and sift the fillets golden. Put them on greasy paper.
Mix the layers, give it a boil and let it get cold. Cut the onions into thin slices. Put the fried herring in a bowl together with half the onions that are layered between the herrings.
Pour the layer over. Let the herrings draw at least 1 day. Bring the last onion rings over the herring on serving.
