The boiled potatoes are cut into slices or cubes. The lid is peeled, the apple is peeled, and both are cut into cubes. All the ingredients are mixed and placed on a dish. Lightly mix mayonnaise and whole milk and season the spices. The dressing is tasted. The taste will be fuller after 1/2 - 1 hour. The dressing is spread over the filling. The herring is cut into small cuts and laid over. The eggs are cut into slices or chopped and laid between the herrings. Chives are cut over.
