To prepare the Arizona desert chili recipe, please follow these instructions:
Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Add garlic, onion and green pepper. Sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the meat (cut into small cubes), and Brown it on all sides. Pour excess fat from (if meat is very fat).
Add the remaining ingredients and simmer an hour or so. Got a lid on, slightly ajar so steam can come out. Stir often. Remove the fat that comes to the surface. Let the casserole stand about an hour after boiling.
Serve with wholemeal bread or cheese biscuits.
Tips:
Lean beef can be used as shoulder, Chuck steak, beefsteak, pork or clump.
