Instructions for The coffee granita
To prepare the The coffee granita recipe, please follow these instructions:
Bring sugar and cocoa into a large saucepan, add gradually 1½ dl of water and stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Bring it to boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in fresh coffee. Pour the mixture into a low metal mold or tray and make it completely cold. Freeze until partially frozen. Stir it through a fork to distribute ice crystals. Freeze until it is firm. Findel the granite with a fork and put it back in the freezer for 1 hour before serving. NB: The ice is very hard when it is frozen, so it must be frozen in a low form and stirred through when it is partially frozen. It is difficult to stir it through if it has been frozen in a deep form.
