Ingredients for Steamed mussels with basil
1 | tbsp | Fish sauce |
1 | kg | Fresh mussels |
1 | cup | Sweet basil leaves (bai hurapah) |
1 | cup | Water |
1 | tsp | Vegetable oil Grapeseed Oil) |
2 | stems | Lemon grass |
4-5 | clove | Garlic |
6-8 | Red chili |
Instructions for Steamed mussels with basil
To prepare the Steamed mussels with basil recipe, please follow these instructions:
Rinse and clean the mussels. Peel the garlic and chop them nicely. Cut the lemon tree sticks (the white portion!) Into paper thin slices. Chop the chilli well. Chop the basil leaves roughly.
Heat the oil until it smokes in a spacious saucepan (the wok can also be used well!). Add garlic, lemongrass and chili. Add fish sauce and water and let it boil for approx. Two min. Add the mussels and keep the dish in constant motion with a saucepan or similar. Stir the mussels for approx. 3-4 min. Finally add the basil leaves
tips:
Use if necessary. Djævelsovs as an accessory to dip the mussels in. Make sure there are not any of the mussels that are bad. If some do not open, but are still completely sealed after being steamed, throw them out!
