Instructions for Sandcake with homemade apple sauce
To prepare the Sandcake with homemade apple sauce recipe, please follow these instructions:
- First turn the oven to 175 degrees and cut the butter in slices and place in a bowl so that it can stand and soften.
- Cut the apples into small pieces and cook them with peel in a pan with a spoon of vanilla.
- Remove the vanilla rod when the apple pieces are so tender that they can blend to uniform mash with a rod blender (they must have about 10min). Blend the apples and let the moth cool a little.
- Prepare a breadcrumb. It must be lubricated and then sprinkled with raspberries.
- Pour sugar over the butter and work it together into a uniform mass. I think it's easiest to use fingers, but hand mixes can also be used.
- Whisk with hand mixer 1 egg at a time and whip well between each egg.
- add half the apple sauce and gently wring it in the pulp.
- seal the flour and turn it gently.
- add the rest of the apple dose now. Just turn it in a little loose so that the dough becomes a bit uneven. This gives an exciting consistency effect in the cake!
- Immediately pour the cake into the mold and put it in the hot oven for about 50-60 minutes.
- Test with a knitting needle or similar if the cake is finished. If there is nothing sticking to the knitting needle when pulling it out of the cake, the cake is finished.
- The cake is more moist and soft than plain sandcake, so it has to settle before cutting it. Take it out of the mold as soon as it is out of the oven and allow it to cool before cutting.
tips:
The cake is delicious if you want something that is not too sweet. The sour apple sauce gives a good contrast to the otherwise sweet sand cake. The cake can be made more festive by serving it with fresh fruit and a delicious vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. It can be a wonderful Christmas bowl if you add spices like cinnamon, koreander and ginger.
