Instructions for Roasted polentasnitters
To prepare the Roasted polentasnitters recipe, please follow these instructions:
Bring the water to a boil in a thickened pot. Afterwards, stir the corn grit and stir all the time. The grunts must be boiled with the weakest heat for 15 minutes while stirring, so that the polenta does not burn. Take care, it bubbles and splashes a part! Butter, salt and pepper are added towards the end of the cooking time. Pour the polenta into a fingered layer in a greased form, which is kept cold. Shortly before serving, the polenta is turned on a board and cut into slices. Shake them in a little butter on a pan, approx. 2 minutes on each side. When the slices are crisp outside and warm inside, they are put on greasy paper. Decorate with thyme leaves and small pieces of tomato meat. (Like a flower: a piece of tomato in the middle, and 4-5 thyme leaves like petals).
