1 | tsp | Fresh lemon |
1 | tbsp | Butter |
1 | dl | Sugar |
1 | dl | Water |
3 | dl | Oil |
4 | pcs | Toast bread |
4-8 | tbsp | Milk |
Instructions for Bread Gulab Jamun (sugarcrumbs with bread)
To prepare the Bread Gulab Jamun (sugarcrumbs with bread) recipe, please follow these instructions:
The 4 toast bread edges are cut away.
The toastbreads are mixed with milk until it has a soft dough texture.
A tbsp. Butter is heated in the microwave and is used in the form of spheres (of the toast bread dough so it does not stick).
Grease the melted butter on both palms and roll the dough into small balls (about 6 pieces).
In a pot, water and sugar are heated for approx. 15 min.
Meanwhile, the balls are cooked in a pan of oil until they have a brown color.
Turn off the sugar syrup boiling (sugar and water) and pour a little freshly squeezed lemon in.
Afterwards, turn the balls into the sugar syrup and keep for 1 hour until served. Welcome - an Indian dessert. Jummi Jamun!
