Ingredients for Swedish buns
Coarse flour to sprinkle | ||

2 | dl | Coarse flour (equal parts rye and whole wheat flour and oatmeal) |
2 | tbsp | Oil |
2 | dl | Water |
25 | g | Yeast |
325 | g | Wheat flour |
Instructions for Swedish buns
To prepare the Swedish buns recipe, please follow these instructions:
Crumble the yeast in a bowl. Heat oil, water and syrup for approx. 37 degrees (finger heat) and dissolve yeast in a little of the hot liquid. Stir in the rest and add salt, coarse flour and most of the wheat flour. Bring it to a smooth dough with as much flour as it can take. Let the dough rise for about 45 minutes.
Pour the dough through the flour board and form it into a long sausage. Divide it into about 16 pieces and roll the pieces to buns. Allow the balls to adhere to the baking sheet until the dough runs back at a light pressure, 30-45 minutes.
Brush the balls with egg whipped egg and sprinkle with coarse flour. Bake the balls in a preheated oven at 225 degrees for approx. 12 minutes.
