Ingredients for Shortbread

1 | dl | Junket or whipping cream |
100 | g | Butter |
175 | g | Wheat flour |
20 | Whole almonds | |
45 | g | Sugar |
Instructions for Shortbread
To prepare the Shortbread recipe, please follow these instructions:
Turn on the oven at 175 degrees.
Put the almonds in a bowl and pour boiling water on. Put them aside and make the dough.
Mix flour, salt, baking soda and sugar in a food processor. Bring pieces of butter in and turn on fast speed. Pour milk or whipped cream and stop the food processor as soon as the dough is uniform.
If you do not have a food processor: Mix flour, salt, baking soda and sugar in a bowl. Cut the butter into small pieces. Crumble it in the flour mixture with your fingers, so it will look like grated cheese. Squeeze the dough with thickened milk or whipped cream.
Place baking paper on the baking sheet. Put the dough on the baking paper and spread it into an elongated square of approx. 35x15 cm. Use a scraper or pallet. Grease the dough evenly over all.
Pour the water from the almonds, rub the brown skin between your index finger and thumb. Cut the almonds in half and push them into the dough. Place the baking tray in the middle of the oven.
Bake for about 15 minutes until the cake is light brown. Take out the baking sheet and cut the cake into 8-10 long pieces across. Use griddles or grill gloves. Leave the cakes to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes.
