2tspSalt
2tbspSesame seeds
2.5dlLukewarm water
25gYeast
5tbspSesame oil or olive oil
6dlWheat flour

Instructions for Grissini (Italian bread bars)

To prepare the Grissini (Italian bread bars) recipe, please follow these instructions:

Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water and stir half of the flour.

Mix salt and oil in.

Stir the rest of the flour and knead it into a light dough consistency. If the dough is too soft, add a little more flour.

Let the dough rise to double size for 20 minutes.

Set the oven to 200 degrees.

Divide the dough into 2 pieces and roll it to ½-1 cm thick (a square of about 20 20 cm)

Use plenty of flour on the table and on the cake roll so the dough is not jammed.

Brush with water. Sprinkle sesame seeds or salt over. Cut the dough into 1 cm wide bars. It is made easy with a pizza cutter.

Slice the bars lightly and place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Let them adhere for another 10 min.

They are baked in the oven for about 20 minutes until they are golden.

If your grissini is not completely crisp, they can be left in the oven. Turn off the heat and open the lid, and they will dry quickly.

Tip: You can make many varieties of your grissini - try for example: 2 tablespoons sesame seeds with 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, 6 dl wheat flour with 4 dl wheat flour and 2 dl grahamsmel. So only sprinkle with salt.
