Instructions for Assyrian chicken with yogurt
To prepare the Assyrian chicken with yogurt recipe, please follow these instructions:
Melt the butter in a saucepan and brown chicken cut into 8 pieces. Remove the meat from the pan and put it on a dish.
Bring finely chopped onions and peppers into strips in the pan and saute for a few minutes. Add broth, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Put the pieces of meat back into the pan and let it boil slightly for 40 minutes until the meat is tender.
Place the chicken on a serving dish and keep it warm. Bring a couple of tablespoons of water to the chopped almonds and stir them into a smooth loaf that comes into the sauce in the saucepan. Bring it to boil while stirring.
Turn under the pan and add the yoghurt while stirring all the time. Pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with the cayenne and cumin bowl.
The dish is served with rice.
