1000 | g | Wheat flour |
2 | tsp | Salt |
200 | g | Butter |
4 | tbsp | Sugar |
5 | dl | Water |
50 | g | Baking soda |
Instructions for Wheat buds without yeast
To prepare the Wheat buds without yeast recipe, please follow these instructions:
Mix the flour with the sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl. Cut the butter into small pieces and findel it into the mix. Pour the water into the bowl. Pipe the dough together. Knead the dough well through until it is soft and supple.
The dough is shaped into 12 equal-sized buns. These are added in a baking pan, it is important to wheat buds are close if they are to achieve the characteristic form. Saucepan should preferably have high sides.
Brush with water and then put in a 200 degrees C hot oven for approximately 25-30 minutes. Wheat buds must only Brown quite easily, and they do not form strong crust.
After cooling, cut hvederne through and toasting with the over-cut side up by hot air + grill for approx. 10 min. until golden and crispy.
Tips:
These wheat buds is not on a par with wheat buds created on yeast dough, but is a good alternertiv for those who can't stand the yeast.
