To prepare the Piratskorper recipe, please follow these instructions:
The milk is handwarmed, the yeast dissolves in it. The other ingredients are added. The dough is kneaded until it is uniform. Set a loose place, raised to double size. Dough together and form into an elongated sausage. Split into 18 equal pieces, shaped into oval bowls. Put on a greased baking sheet. Replace a coarse place for double size. Put on the middle groove. Bake at 225 degrees for 15 min. The balls are split and dried at 150 degrees for approx. 30 min. The oven door must be clamped. It's the drying process that gives the crusts the extra long durability.
