Ingredients for Old-fashioned English rice budding
Grated must of 0.5 lemon | ||

1 | dl | Round grain rice |

Instructions for Old-fashioned English rice budding
To prepare the Old-fashioned English rice budding recipe, please follow these instructions:
Mix rice flour, water, salt and lemon in a saucepan. Let it boil under low heat for 10 minutes. Add the milk and stir. Leave the simmer to simmer and lower for about 30 minutes without stirring. Let it cool and stir it occasionally.
Shake the saffron into a mortar with a sugar batter. Mix the cream and saffron and stir in the porridge with raisins, almonds and sugar. Divide the eggs and mix the egg yolks in the porridge.
Whip the egg whites stiff and turn them into the ground. Pour the mixture into a greased ovenproof form and bag it at 200ยบ for about 25 minutes until the surface is golden. Let the boil cool and dry with a little sugar before serving.
