1dlWhipped cream
1.5tbspHoney
1.5dlLight syrup
1.5dlSugar
150gButter
250gPeeled almonds into strips
4.5dlWheat flour

Instructions for Gripsholm Cake

To prepare the Gripsholm Cake recipe, please follow these instructions:

Chop flour, fat, sugar and eggs together, either by hand or by machine. Lay the dough on a floured table and work it evenly and fine with meltered hands. Add a little more flour if the dough feels loose. Roll 2/3 of the dough to a round cake bottom and place it at the bottom of a spring shape, approx. 22 cm in diameter. Bake at 175 degrees on the bottom groove for approx. 10 min. Add the fat to the filling in a thickened saucepan and add cream, syrup, honey and almonds. Heat it all while stirring and let the almond cook a couple of min. Squeeze the rest of the dough out along the edge of the mold, a little thicker below a little thinner for the top. Pour the almond into the mold and bag the cake for 20-25 minutes until it is fine golden. Let the cake cool 5-10 minutes before taking it out of the mold.

tips:
Melt a little dark chocolate and brush a 2 cm wide edge on the cake. Let the chocolate stiffen and decorate it with whipped cream and strawberries.
