Stir the butter and sugar together. Turn the egg into it. Add powdered sugar. Sift flour and baking soda. Mix well for about 6 minutes. Roll the dough into balls. Bake for 30 minutes at 150 degrees. (If you have a hot air oven shorter baking time).
