250 | g | Gooseberry |
75 | g | Cane sugar |
Instructions for Stikkelsbær Compote with elder flower
To prepare the Stikkelsbær Compote with elder flower recipe, please follow these instructions:
Rinse and nip gooseberry and mix them with lemon juice and sugar in a saucepan. Bring slowly to a boil, covered. Remove the lid and let it cook through. Sprinkle elder-flowers in and let it simmer for Compote – about 5 mins.
Pour it into a bowl and let it get completely cold.
Server kompotten as it is, with cream or ice cream, or flip it with whipped cream.
Tips:
Can also be made into a lovely Summer Jam. Make a larger portion, use ¾ kg. sugar per kg. berries and add if necessary. gelling and preservative. Pour in scalded glass and close them right away.
