Instructions for Rhubarb Jam

To prepare the Rhubarb Jam recipe, please follow these instructions:

Choose rhubarb, whose stems are not too thick, rinse them thoroughly and cut them in 5 - 6 cm long pieces.

The pieces are boiled for approx. 5 minutes. Then they are picked up with a casing (the cooking water is stored) and poured into a saucepan.

Sugar and approx. ½ liter of boiling water is added with lemon juice. The jam is boiled until the layers are even. It lasts approx. 30 minutes.

Check if the jam has boiled long enough by picking up a plate a little. It must not flow out.

Melati and 2 tbsp. Sugar mix well and sprinkle with stirring over the boiling fruit. The mixture is boiled for a few more minutes.

The jam is poured into scalded glass that has been washed in Atamon. The glasses bind when the jam is cooled.
