Instructions for Mardi Gras Ball / clown buns
To prepare the Mardi Gras Ball / clown buns recipe, please follow these instructions:
Dough:
Milk, yeast and sugar dissolve. Butter. Eggs, cardamom and wheat flour are mixed in. Kneaded for 5 minutes. Put in a refrigerator 20 min.
Then roll the dough into a square with a thickness of 0.4 cm. The dough is cut into squares 10x10 cm. At the center of each square place 15-20 g of marcipan pulp. The ends are closed towards the center and the bowls are put on the baking plate with the assembly downwards. The balls are raised for 1-1 1/2 hours in a tight spot.
After swelling they are brushed with eggs. Bake 8-10 min at 220 gr. After baking, the balls should be cooled or frozen.
Decorate the buns that are not to be frozen with chocolate icing.

Flour, cocoa and hot water are stirred together
Marcipan pulp: sugar, butter and marcipan are stirred together
tips:
For children it is good to decorate the balls with smarties chocolate lenses. Then it's real clown buns. For adults, they can be omitted
