Ingredients for Maltese Muffins
0.5 | dl | Sunflower oil or melted butter |
1 | tbsp | Baking soda |
1.25 | dl | Soft butter |
1.25 | dl | Sugar |
1.25 | dl | Unsweetened dark cocoa powder |
150 | g | Maltesers chocolate balls |
2 | Large eggs | |
2.5 | dl | Milk |
3.75 | dl | Wheat flour |
5 | dl | Icing sugar |
55 | g | Dark chocolate |
Instructions for Maltese Muffins
To prepare the Maltese Muffins recipe, please follow these instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200¤.
Crush the chocolate balls, but save 12 whole for decoration.
Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda into a large bowl. Stir the sugar and the broken chocolate balls into the flour mixture.
Whip the eggs lightly into another large bowl and then whip milk and oil into the eggs.
Make a drip in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour the coiled indentations therein.
Gently stir the ingredients together so that they are just mixed. Be careful not to touch too much elongation too much.
Bring the dough into muffin mold with two spoons, baked in a preheated oven approx. 20 minutes until the cakes have risen and are firm.
Let the cakes cool, while you do the iceingen:
Melt chocolate into a small thickened pot. Put butter in a bowl and whip it airy. Point the icing and whip the mixture evenly and creamy. Add melted chocolate and whisk well together.
Iceingen is put on top of the completely cooled muffins (otherwise the lubrication of ice ice will melt on top of the muffins) and decorate with a Maltese chocolate ball on top of each muffin.
