25 | g | Yeast |
5 | dl | Durummel |
Instructions for Italian bread with durum wheat
To prepare the Italian bread with durum wheat recipe, please follow these instructions:
Crumble the yeast in a bowl. Heat the water until it is hand warm, pour it into the bowl and stir until the yeast is dissolved.
Add salt, durum wheat and wheat flour and mix well. Spread the dough for 5 minutes to make it very smooth. Let the dough raise in the bowl for about 1 hour under a cloth.
Put the dough on a table, knead it well and roll it to a loaf of bread. Make 4 slices in the dough with a sharp knife and let the bread raise, on a plate under a cloth for 30 minutes.
Brush the ready-made bread with a little water and leave it at 200 degrees C. alm. Oven for approx. 25 minutes. Feel a meatpin if the bread is baked in the middle. Let it cool on a grid.
tips:
If you use flour specially designed for baking, the bread becomes airy and crisp, but on the other hand it requires a little more kneading than plain flour.
