Instructions for Grandma's cognackage
To prepare the Grandma's cognackage recipe, please follow these instructions:
Fats and sugar are stirred together. The fat must be softened until the consistency is like mayonaise, after which egg yolks are stirred for one at a time. Flours, almonds, chocolate and cognac are mixed in and all of it is stirred for a uniform mass. The pins of whipped egg whites are carefully turned into the mass at last.
Prepare the mass in a well-baked and floured baking form. Bake on the bottom of the oven at 175 degrees C for about 1 hour. The oven must have the right temperature from the start.
When the cake is slightly cooled, remove it from the mold and cool on a grate.
