1 | tbsp | Corn flour cornstarch |
1 | pinch | Salt |
15 | g | Butter |
2 | tbsp | Sugar |
325 | g | Wheat flour |
600 | g | Apples |
Instructions for American Applepie I
To prepare the American Applepie I recipe, please follow these instructions:
The butter is crumbled in the flour, add salt and cold water and collect the dough quickly with light hand. Place the dough cold for an hour.
Divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll out one half and clothe a pie with the dough.
Peel the apples, remove the core house, flower and stalk and cut the apples into thin slices mixed with the remaining ingredients for the filling. Distribute it over the pie.
Roll out the other half of the dough and cover the pie with it. Squeeze the edges together and cut a pair of holes in the drip tray, if necessary. Dot it with a fork so the steam can escape.
Whip egg yolk and cream together and brush the pie with it.
Bake at 200 degrees C. alm. Oven for approx. 30-40 minutes.
Serve with ice cold whipped cream or soft vanilla ice cream.
